HOWORTH’S HEALTH AND SAFETY HAT TRICK

Howorth Air Technology Ltd has won the British Safety Council’s prestigious International Safety Award for the third year running, demonstrating a continued commitment to the promotion of a positive safety culture.

 

 

The award was given following a rigorous assessment by an independent adjudication panel.  Howorth was required to demonstrate that it has in place comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures, a targeted action plan, below-average accident statistics and a clear commitment to health and safety from the shop floor to the boardroom.

Howorth also had to demonstrate the competence of those responsible for the management of health and safety, and provide clear evidence of improvements achieved during the year.  These improvements included the development of a work experience programme and an employee involvement programme using the 5S initiative.
