As part of a major €9.6million refurbishment of its Dublin hospital, The Mater Private Hospital has contracted Howorth Medical, a division of Howorth Airtech Ltd, to design and equip two Ultra-Clean theatres. The Mater Private Hospital Each theatre will house a Howorth Exflow Ultra-Clean Ventilation Canopy, with its unique graded velocity air profile. Howorth will undertake full mechanical and electrical installation as part of this full turnkey project, which is expected to take 16 weeks from start to finish. The new theatres are scheduled to be completed in March 2008. The theatres will also feature Maquet's Variop modular walling system, which virtually eliminates maintenance costs beyond routine cleaning, resulting in clinical benefits and significant life-cycle cost savings.
	The job was put out to competitive tender and won by Howorth on technical merit and reputation.
