His Royal Highness, the Duke of Kent, Opens New Facility at the King Edward VII's Hospital, Sister Agnes November 2006 On 15th November, the Hospital's President, His Royal Highness, the Duke of Kent, officially opened a major new facility at the King Edward VII's Hospital, Sister Agnes. This ambitious refurbishment project, managed by Howorth Medical and featuring the Karl Storz OR-1 system, will assist keyhole surgery and enhance the performance of laparoscopic procedures, ensuring patients spend less time on the operating table and are therefore less susceptible to infection. They also experience faster recovery time and scarring is minimised thanks to state of the art technology.
