The pendants bring gas, electrical and data supply outlets in a flexible format which can also accommodate other essential equipment such as monitors and drug delivery.
	Their stylish design comprising three legged equipment carriers for maximum stability with the incorporation of electro-hydraulic power units and electronically controlled braking system, combine to make this equipment extremely user-friendly, safe and versatile. The multi-movement workstations are designed to enable the users to position the life-support and monitoring equipment to suit their particular requirements with the minimum of effort - the arms can be rotated, raised or lowered as necessary. As well as conventional double arm articulated pendants, there are two different de-mountable pendant consoles, one for carrying monitoring equipment on a trolley and the other for carrying the patient drug delivery equipment on a frame which can be transferred to the bed to allow patients to be moved without disconnection from their life-support system. In the event that existing building construction will not support the mounting of overhead pendants, Howorth Medical has developed a rotating, vertical service column to provide similar facilities between two beds. This is a cost-effective retro-fit option, which can be installed with little disruption.
