Pharmaceutical Division Stronger Than Ever

Howorth is pleased to announce that Michael Mellor is returning to the company. He will join David Jackson, Director and General Manager of the pharmaceutical division, as Technical Director, with a particular interest in developing the range of aseptic isolators. David and Michael will work closely together to increase global business, taking Howorth’s pharmaceutical products to new markets, as well as consolidating the company’s success with its existing client base.

Michael’s appointment is further evidence of Howorth’s commitment to investing in new people and new ideas, ensuring that both its medical and pharmaceutical divisions stay ahead of the field both in this country and overseas.

2010 was a highly successful year for the pharmaceutical division, and saw the completion of several projects for major companies throughout the world, including GlaxoSmithKline, Eisai, Sanofi Aventis, Teva and Almirall.

In 2011, Howorth will attend a number of important exhibitions, including Interphex and AAPS (American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists). It will also be working with its Spanish agent, Dara, and looking to appoint agents in the Far East.

The Spares and Servicing wing continues to grow, with its capability to carry out conversions, modifications and upgrades to any type of equipment, provided by any manufacturer, proving particularly strong.
