Environment, Health & Safety

Howorth Air Technology takes part in the following Health & Safety schemes and institutions:

British Safety Council

The British Safety Council is one of the world’s leading occupational health, safety and environmental organisations. Founded in 1957, it now has a turnover of more than £9 million. Its mission is to support a healthier, safer and more sustainable society.

Safe Contractor

Safe Contractor is an accreditation scheme that assesses the health & safety competency of contractors and service providers. Westbury Filtermation was awarded the accreditation in recognition of its exceptional health & safety practises.

Contractors’  Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) is dedicated to completing health and safety pre-qualification assessments to a nationally recognised and accepted threshold standard. CHAS is a founder member and current Chair of Safety Schemes in Procurement – Competence Forum or SSIP.

Construction Line

Construction Line is the UK’s largest certified pre-qualification database, saving the construction industry over £500 million a year in administration. Already used by over 60% of local authorities, it reduces duplication and saves time and money by encouraging organisations to use a single source for pre-qualification.

As a supplier and partner for many years, Howorth understands the increasingly onerous international health and safety standards that our clients are required to work towards.
