Welcoming Overseas Students
15 October 2012
This month, Howorth has been pleased to welcome another overseas work experience student to its Manchester offices, continuing a tradition that has now been running successfully for several years.
Marco Stoetzel, who is 18 years old and comes from Germany, is currently part way through an apprenticeship as a commercial assistant, with an emphasis on modern languages. His course requires him to undertake work experience in a foreign country and his English teacher, whose daughter was the first overseas student to be placed at Howorth, recommended the company.
Marco is primarily working with Howorth’s sales team, and has been able to attend two exhibitions with his new colleagues, ISPE and IHEEM, getting an opportunity to see work beyond the office environment.
I introduced this initiative as soon as I joined Howorth, and I have always been very impressed by the calibre of students we have been sent. Marco has been very willing to learn and help, and it has been a pleasure to have him with us.”
Jim Liptrot, Group Operations Director, Howorth Air Technology.
