Head of Account Management

We are delighted that due to our continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Head of Account Management within our Healthcare business unit.

The successful candidates will lead account strategy across private and NHS healthcare customers. Strengthen key relationships, drive contract performance and secure long-term revenue through structured governance, renewal planning and improved customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

As part of your role at Howorth, your responsibilities will include:

  • Own national account plans, revenue and margin
  • Lead engagement with hospitals, FM partners and private healthcare groups
  • Build strong senior relationships across procurement, estates, clinical and theatre teams
  • Lead contract renewals and lifecycle upsell across the national portfolio
  • Drive development of structured account plans and reporting
  • Support forecasting, tender responses and pricing models
  • Lead governance across SLAs, KPIs and performance reviews
  • Work with Service Manager and Operations to align delivery with commitments
  • Improve customer satisfaction and escalation recovery
  • Provide insight for forecasting, demand planning and stock strategy
  • Maintain accurate records across CRM and internal systems
  • Develop consistent processes for customer reviews and issue resolution

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Background in healthcare, FM or technical service environments
  • Strong account leadership experience
  • Skilled in senior customer engagement and negotiation
  • Financial awareness across revenue, margin and forecasting
  • Understanding of HTM 03-01 and critical ventilation products
  • Strong communication, planning and reporting skills

  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Able to influence internal teams and resolve issues with pace and clarity
