US Sales Support Engineer

In response to the continued growth of our Pharma business in the US, Howorth is creating this NEW POSITION for a US Sales Support Engineer within our North American Pharma Business Unit. This will be a key role acting as the interface between the UK based Applications Team and the North American Sales Team.
Working Location: This role is intended for an individual based in the United States and will be located at our facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be able to provide appropriate documentation. Visa sponsorship and re-location package are not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
As part of your role at Howorth, your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and submit complete Commercial Proposal “packs”.
- Prepare and deliver submittals to customer and engineering online bid portals (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).
- Expedite customer response time.
- Maintain responsibility for documentation associated with each enquiry including:
- Review customer URS documents and prepare internal review documents.
- Gather all proposal documentations from the Applications Team.
- Complete commercial documents in accordance with the commercial objectives of the business.
- Assist in documentation preparation for Bid Reviews and Project Handovers
- Update CRM and network folders.
- Occasional travel to support the US Sales Team.
Desired Experience
- Two-year associate’s degree or equivalent as a minimum, in Engineering or related field.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proven Commercial and Technical experience for the supply of Capital Equipment, preferably to the Pharmaceutical Industry and ideally within the field of Containment or Process Systems.
- Strong understanding of conceptual systems approach.
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering documents i.e., GA Drawings, P&IDs, Process Flow diagrams etc.
- Sales background is desirable but not essential
- Works well as part of a team and is equally capable of working independently using own initiative
